End of Course Reflections
I first took this module as a Directed Independent Study under Professor Dennen, and I must say when I first signed up, I was a bit apprehensive as I did not really know what this module was about and I was not entirely convinced that Web 2.0 tools could have any great impact within the military context, given its many restrictions on the usage of such tools. But BOY was I wrong, and now looking back, this has been an absolutely fun class that challenged me to step outside my comfort zones and in the process, gain new ideas and inspiration.
Through this course, I have picked up and experimented with more social media tools and Web 2.0 educational tools than I have ever had before. I have been introduced to platforms such as Twitter, Diigo, Edublog, Padlet, even Google Maps and learnt how to apply them effectively within an educational context! I even had the practical experience of designing my own lessons incorporating the tools that I have learnt about!
Most importantly though, is through my discussions and interactions with you (my classmates) and your products / projects. You have provided me with so much insight and inspiration with how you have used this tools to execute your vision of a lesson. For that I thank you. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors, and (hopefully) see you in future classes!
Kelvyn, it is great to see that you have enjoyed the course and gained inspiration during the process. It is also great to see a fellow Singaporean in this Masters' program. All the best to you and have fun in Florida!
